- Spot Price
- The live international XAU/USD market price for one troy ounce of gold.
- Premium
- The percentage above spot you pay for a physical product. Smaller bars = higher premium.
- Hallmark
- The purity stamp on jewellery (999/916/875/750). No stamp, no purchase.
- Assay Card
- Sealed certificate packaging for bars from recognised refineries. Never break the seal.
- Buyback
- The price a dealer pays to repurchase gold — typically spot minus 0.5–2% in Qatar.
- XAU
- The currency code for one troy ounce of gold on international markets.
